FAQ

Common Questions

Answers to what families and referral sources ask most.

What is the EIDBI benefit and who does it cover?

The EIDBI benefit is a Minnesota Medicaid program covering services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related conditions. It is available to those enrolled in Medical Assistance (MA) who have established medical need through a CMDE evaluation.

Does my child need a diagnosis before contacting you?

Not necessarily. If your child doesn't have a formal ASD diagnosis yet, we can guide you through obtaining a Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation (CMDE) — the required first step. Contact us and we'll walk you through exactly where to start at no cost.

Where are services provided?

Services are currently provided in-home and through telehealth. We support families in their home environment and through telehealth when appropriate. We work with each family to find the approach that best fits their child's goals.

What insurance do you accept?

We currently accept Medical Assistance (MA) only. Call us to verify your child's coverage — we're happy to help you navigate.

How long does the intake process take?

Timeline varies depending on whether a CMDE is already completed and the DHS referral process. Once eligibility is confirmed, we move as quickly as possible to begin services.

Do you serve multilingual families?

Yes. Our team is culturally and linguistically diverse. We're committed to serving all families in their preferred language — Somali, Arabic, Oromo, Amharic, Spanish, and English. Let us know your preference when you reach out.
